October Round-Up: TV Legends, Laughs, Celtic and a Little Halloween Fun

We all know how easy it is to get caught up in the hamster wheel of work… ticking tasks off the list without pausing to reflect. October has certainly been one of those months for us! But as we reach the final day (Happy Halloween, by the way 🎃), we thought it was the perfect time to take a quick look back at what a brilliant month it’s been, and maybe give ourselves a small pat on the back just to massage our egos!
It’s hard to pick a favourite moment, but here are a few notable standouts from October:
Auld Pals Back on the Road!
October marked the return of Auld Pals – An Evening with the Stars of Still Game. After a sell-out tour last year, it felt only right to bring this fan-favourite back. And audiences were thrilled we did with Gavin Mitchell, Jane McCarry, Mark Cox, Paul Riley, and Sanjeev Kohli performing to packed houses in Glasgow, Whitley Bay, Edinburgh, and Liverpool.
There were bags of laughs, brilliant Q&As, and some fantastic fancy dress moments from audience members.
That’s a wrap for Auld Pals in 2025, but don’t worry, they’ll be back on the road next year. Find out more on the show page here.
Lincoln Laughs Announcement
Being based near Lincoln, it’s a city that we have a strong connection with, so we wanted to offer something that would help bring venues together, and audiences through doors. With that in mind, this month we proudly announced Lincoln Laughs, sponsored by Lincoln Big. This will be Lincoln’s first city-wide comedy festival, showcasing a fantastic mix of big names and rising comedy stars across multiple venues.
The response has been amazing so far, with many venues already signed up, and there’s still time to join in! Venues registering before 1st December will receive discounted registration and early inclusion in our marketing campaigns. Visit our Lincoln Laughs page for more details.
Martin O’Neill Returns to Celtic
If you’re a football fan, then you would have seen the news that Martin O’Neill has returned to Celtic FC as Interim Manager.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with the football legend for several years, from booking speaking engagements to featuring him in our touring production of An Evening with Celtic Legends. So, (with a slight bias towards Celtic amongst the Red Shoe team) we wish him the best of luck in his new role.
Halloween at Rand Farm Park
October wouldn’t be complete without some Halloween fun, and we’ve been supporting our friends at Rand Farm Park with entertainment for their Night Time Pumpkin Festival.
With American BBQ, marshmallow toasting, a saloon bar, line dancing, and live tribute acts (the latter courtesy of Red Shoe), it’s been another fantastic event from the Rand Farm team. If you missed it this year, make sure to add it to next year’s calendar, and keep an eye out for Rand Fest too, their hugely popular summer festival, which we’ve been involved with over the years.
