But that’s not all, Ashley has just released a powerful new memoir:

The King of Spain and I: Surviving Cricket, Depression and the Greatest Ever Ashes

This is more than just a story about cricket. Drawing on personal journals and reflections from his early days as a young player at Warwickshire, Ashley offers a raw and deeply personal account of his struggles with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and depression – and how he overcame them to become a key figure in one of England’s most iconic cricketing eras.

Featuring behind-the-scenes stories from the dressing rooms with legends like Vaughan, Hussain, Flintoff and Pietersen, this book is an unflinching look at the psychological toll of elite sport, and the strength it takes to survive and succeed at the highest level.
