Two of Lincoln’s newest ventures have partnered, as Lincoln Laughs are proud to announce Magna Radio as the headline sponsor of this October’s festival.

Magna Presents Lincoln Laughs is set to be the very first city-wide comedy festival in Lincoln, running between Friday 16th – Sunday 18th October. The event will see a diverse line-up of comedians, including famous faces and fresh comedy talent, bring non-stop laughter to Lincoln’s favourite venues, including the New Theatre Royal Lincoln, The Engine Shed, Doddington Hall, White Hart Hotel, and more.

The first names of the festival line-up have now been announced, with the self-described German Comedy Ambassador Henning Wehn (8 Out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You?), comedy legend Bobby Davro, and the award-winning Samantha Day, all set to bring laughs to Lincoln this Autumn.

Magna Radio, which launched this February, is Lincolnshire’s newest radio station and is committed to supporting local communities and events, all whilst sharing local information and providing engaging, entertaining radio shows. This, alongside a line-up of DJs loved by Lincolnshire audiences, such as John Marshall and Rob Hammond, has seen the station open to impressive listening figures.

Magna Presents Lincoln Laughs is managed by Red Shoe Entertainment, a locally-based entertainment management and promotion company who specialise in celebrity representation and live performances. Upon the announcement of this latest partnership, Lee Newton, Managing Director of Red Shoe Entertainment, said, “Lincoln Laughs was created to bring the whole city together; giving local audiences something to enjoy, whilst also attracting new visitors to Lincoln. As the festival has grown, it’s been important for us to work with partners who share that vision, and Magna Radio are a perfect fit.”

Whilst Tom Priestley, Magna Radio’s Station Founder, said, One of Magna’s fundamental aims is to support local businesses and communities, so Lincoln Laughs is the kind of venture we’re really keen to support. With the variety of venues taking part, it brings local businesses together, and the sheer number and variety of comedians on offer promises to be a real treat for locals and visitors. We truly feel that the festival has the potential to help put Lincoln on the map, even more than it already is, and we’re delighted to be part of that journey.”

Magna Radio join Lincoln BIG and Imprint Colour Printers as existing sponsors of the festival.

There’s still time for the local community to get involved in the event too. Venues across Lincoln can register to become part of the festival, whilst local comedians are invited to apply for a chance to showcase their talent. Limited sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses wanting to align their brand with this exciting new event.

There will also be a launch event near Lincoln’s Cornhill Quarter on Saturday 4th April, where the public can find out more information about the festival.
