Johan Mjällby is a former Swedish international footballer and highly respected coach, best known for his successful spell with Celtic and his boyhood club AIK. A commanding centre-back and natural leader, Johan played a key role during one of Celtic’s most successful eras, between 1998 and 2004, helping them win multiple league and cup titles and becoming a fan favourite in the process.
On the international stage, Johan earned 49 caps for Sweden and captained his country at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Following his playing career, he moved into coaching, including spells as assistant manager at Celtic and Bolton Wanderers.
