Gavin Mitchell is a highly acclaimed Scottish actor and comedian, best known for his iconic role as Boabby the Barman in the beloved sitcom Still Game. His performance across all nine series of the show earned him widespread recognition and culminated in a “Best Actor” award at the 2019 Scottish Comedy Awards.
With a career spanning over four decades, Gavin’s body of work extends beyond Still Game. He was a key cast member in BBC Scotland’s Velvet Soup, starred in Happy Hollidays, and appeared alongside the late Robin Williams in the 1994 comedy-drama film Being Human.
Gavin has also showcased his dramatic range in television dramas such as Monarch of the Glen and The Field of Blood. A passionate stage actor, he has performed in numerous theatrical productions, notably the acclaimed spoof Casablanca: The Gin Joint Cut, which toured internationally to audiences as far afield as Paris and Barbados.

He’ll also reunite with Paul Riley, Jane McCarry, Mark Cox, and Sanjeev Kohli for “Auld Pals – An Evening with the Stars of Still Game”, returning in 2025 after a sold-out tour in 2024.
